Spacecubed announced as 2021 Innovation & Excellence Awards Finalist!
After launching in 2020 during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Western Australia, Fern, powered by Spacecubed and in partnership with Mirvac, is now at 70% capacity and has seen notable coverage across the media for it’s work in innovation and connection to local startups.
Fern was designed as a way to activate Mirvac’s Allendale Square Buildings, as they had underutilised floors and were looking to create a flex space that would service their Allendale Precinct tenants, add to the premium feel of the building and ultimately drive new tenants into the building.
As part of this partnership, Mirvac also supports our annual startup accelerator program, Plus Eight, and Fern is home to all the startup teams for the duration of the six month program. This has led to great diversity within the community, and has created a buzzing and atmospheric space for business leaders.
Just short of twelve months since launching, Fern has been named as a finalist by The Property Council of Australia in their Innovation & Excellence Awards. These awards aim to promote and celebrate leading practice by the property industry, and play an important role in rewarding products and services in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
Spacecubed is proud to be one of the three companies out of 14 listed that are in Western Australia, as we continue to promote our economy and remain a strong locally owned and operated business.
This Finalist award comes shortly after our founder, Brodie McCulloch was selected as a finalist for the West Australian of the Year Awards, She Codes founder, Kate Kirwin was announced as a 2021 40under40 award winner and Spacecubed was listed as one of the Financial Times High-Growth Companies across Asia-Pacific in late 2020.
