We’re excited to welcome Ben, founder of Verszo, to the Western Sydney Startup Hub, powered by Spacecubed community. With a passion for storytelling and a sharp eye for visual impact, Ben brings with him a growing video production company rooted in creativity, connection and family.
Just before Covid, Ben decided to start his own marketing agency. “In the last six years it has now become a video production company that can produce anything from social media to TV commercials to documentaries,” he shared.
From filming brand stories to capturing live events, Verszo’s portfolio has grown to include an impressive range of content, including recent work with Spacecubed, photographing our networking events and interviewing Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator participants about their founder journeys.
Ben recently won a Full-Time Coworking membership at the Western Sydney Startup Hub through a giveaway on Spacecubed’s Instagram, so we asked what prompted him to enter the competition.
“I entered because working with WSSH has been a really great benefit as the space is amazing and the people are genuine,” Ben shared. “It also gives our business a sense of scale and legitimacy that working from a home office doesn’t.”
The vibrant energy of the hub, combined with a professional setting and a community of driven entrepreneurs, has opened up new possibilities for Verszo’s growth.
Reflecting on his business journey, Ben shared the following.
“One milestone we are proud of is the fact that we have continued throughout everything over the last few years and now have a small team that is made up of my family and friends. Being a family run video production team has really enabled us to have great relationships and deliver a lot of value.”
This tight-knit structure has helped Verszo maintain authenticity while offering a personalised, collaborative experience for their clients.
Looking to the future, Ben sees being a part of the Spacecubed community as an opportunity to collaborate, contribute and create.
“I think the opportunity to help other startups and to be able to offer something unique by using some of the beautiful surroundings to make video content is really going to level up our work and also drive more people to the space,” concluded Ben.
