This week's candidate Carly Hardy, founder of Kooda. She joined the community when she participated in the Founder Institute program in 2016 and aims to connect with developers and sales personnel to help her combat global greenhouse gases through her composting service.

What are you working on?
CaaS: Composting as a service for urban households, offices and restaurants. The company is called Kooda. We are currently pre-launch, but are testing all of our processes and doing R & D for processing the waste odour and vermin free in the city. We are also testing for problems and proving the market for the service. The service is crowdsourced, so lots of people can sign up as a Kooda-Gatherer and earn additional income collecting the buckets and taking them to local compost points.

What do you love most about the Spacecubed community?
I love the energy. I've made friends there quickly, can easily bounce ideas off them and share wins and struggles when I would otherwise be working from home.

How did your journey into the startup/SME space begin?
I've had lots of ideas about how I could contribute to combatting global greenhouse gases (and global warming) but had no idea how to start a business or prove that there would be a viable model in any of my ideas, so I joined FI.

Who are you looking to connect with?
I
am currently looking to hire developers (are you a CTO?) as well as sales personnel.

Can you share with us a success story you've achieved during your time at Spacecubed?
Graduating from FI, and achieving my paid first paid subscriptions. Working out how to fit between the cracks of existing laws, which never quite seem directly applicable. Pitching to people willing to invest and getting seed funding.
