Spacecubed is excited to continue its partnership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and beyond, with CA in Residence Melissa Grove joining the Spacecubed community for the next couple of months.
The CA Catalyst in Residence Programme has successfully run at Spacecubed over the past few years, and also runs throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Adelaide as it works to immerse CAs into the world of business and innovation.
For Melissa, she joins the Spacecubed community this month to experience life as an entrepreneur during her two-month residency, as she gains first hand experience of what it’s like to live and breathe innovation. For members, this is a great opportunity to connect, discuss and learn from current CA’s, pick their brains and discover new ways they can do business.
Melissa has over 19 years of financial and commercial experience, working across the ‘big 4’ public practice, large corporate entities and diverse geographical locations. Below she shares what she’s looking forward to most about participating in this program at Spacecubed.
“Throughout my career, I have seen so many people start and thrive in their careers and it is an absolute blessing. I look forward to reflecting and seeing all the success stories through my collaboration with Spacecubed now too.” She shared when asked what she loves about being a Chartered Accountant.
Melissa also told us that she loves that her role has been a basis for her to travel the world, meet amazing people and experience different cultures.
She continued, “I’m looking forward to meeting all the innovators and experiencing the journey of those in WA who are choosing to do what they love, and making it happen! I love playing a part in people’s journeys who are chasing their dreams.”
When asked why she believes it’s important for founders to connect with industry professionals and mentors, Melissa shared that building a trusted advisory team is one of the keys to success for founders who are used to doing it all themselves.
“This will help you to accelerate the improvement of your entity and propel you towards the next stage of your journey.” She concluded.
