Bringing as much of the VR, AI, AR, games, alternate realities and associated worlds directly to WA, there’s ample opportunity to dive head first into the groundbreaking ideas and technologies that are reshaping art, entertainment, science and research, medicine and architecture and education and industry.
As a highlight of the event, opening from the 12th - 14th of July, Spacecubed are delighted to present a specially programmed VR/AR/MR space, the Spacecubed Games and Experience Emporium.
Featuring a diverse range of mostly locally produced works, the emporium includes the playable, the wearable and the tactile all in one spot at one time. It’s a place where you can meet the makers, discover the unexpected and experience the breadth and depth works from WA creatives alongside with a good dash of their national and international comrades.
It’s packed to the rafters with ideas, experiences and thrills as you’d expect in any true emporium and there’s literally hours of material to dive headlong into. One of the best things about this space is you’re in it with the makers themselves so if you’re wanting to develop a career in design, programming, directing or conceptualising these kind of works, you won’t get a better opportunity.
You can also hear directly from Spacecubed founder, Brodie McCulloch on Friday afternoon, as he joins a panel discussion on ‘Using AR and VR in Business and Training’, discussing areas including the benefits, opportunities and challenges faced by organisations related to immersive technology.
