This week's candidate is Phebe Cho, Founder of Accelus. She has been a Spacecubed member since June 2016.

What are you working on?

12 months ago, I hit a glass ceiling in my corporate career. Everywhere I looked, I saw women struggling with the same barriers, obstacles and I knew I had to do something. I created Accelerate Women, a platform where career-minded women can connect and thrive. Since then, my team and I have launched Accelus, a new voice in the workplace, we are working on a global teachable platform which is launching later this year.

What do you love most about the Spacecubed community?

It's been a great place to meet and connect with like-minded entrepreneurs who have been through similar experiences. It's been a vault of knowledge and connections.

How did your journey into the startup/SME space begin?

I guess with most people, it’s the realisation that things could be done better but not only that, it’s the belief in yourself to think you can actually make a difference. It’s been the most incredible journey and I have learned so much about myself during this short space of time. Also, when you are doing something that you are so passionate about, something you totally believe in, work doesn’t actually seem like work! It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride but an awesome ride.

Who are you looking to connect with?

Anybody and everybody. I believe that everyone can add value, you just need to listen.

Can you share with us a success story you've achieved during your time at Spacecubed?

Last year I met an amazing woman who had faced a similar challenge in her career and she decided to launch her own consulting business. We ended up working together to deliver a project. She came to one of my Accelerator breakfasts and ended up meeting her new business partner there. The two of them are unstoppable forces in change and transformation.
