How did your business journey begin?

Redi Apps was established in 2010 as a means for owner Paul Redfern to escape corporate life and do something he had a passion for, which was building quality, easy to use software. Getting started was tough, finding those first few clients. Redi Apps has constantly grown since then taking on more clients every year and building a strong development team. Today, Redi Apps focus is on building, maintaining and supporting modern software systems for Australian businesses and startups.

What are you working on at the moment?

So many things! At any one point we have multiple projects on the go from clients large and small. We are in the process of working with numerous startups in building a new lending platform and another in the creation of a project management platform. With our existing clients, we are expanding on our project with a local University and three of our bespoke ERP systems. We have also just launched three new mobile apps, one for the mining industry, one for dietary management, a technical inspection app. We are about to launch another health and fitness app. Our work is very diverse!

What do you love about being a part of the Spacecubed community?

There are places to work from and then there is Spacecubed! The two are entirely different and the differentiator for me is that Spacecubed is a community. There are people that base their business out of the Spacecubed offices and there are also a number of like-minded people in the startup community that, from my experience, are very smart innovative individuals happy to talk and meet with others about their business, their experiences and their goals. It’s a unique place to be.

The one thing that comes to mind is that it is a very positive environment to immerse yourself in. Not only that but meetups and events are held regularly which increases your network of contacts that come together to make it a truly great way to connect in a non-invasive manner. At Redi Apps, we fully believe that business is built on relationships and so for us this a great way to spread the word on what we are about. 

Can you share with us one of your favourite success stories?

Every client we have performed work for is a success story. Ultimately, our success comes off the back of our client’s success and our differentiator is that we embed ourselves into our clients business so we can understand the challenges they face, how they see it being overcome and then we can add value by finding the best and most cost effective approach to reach the destination.

As for favourite success stories, there are many, but one that you never forget is your first client that trusts you and you do absolutely everything you can to make that customer feel like they are special. To this day we have the same philosophy, that of client satisfaction and retention and our first client is still a client to this day that we actively perform development work for.

If you needed to, how have you adapted post COVID-19?

COVID-19 has had very little effect on our business. We are fortunate enough that our work can be performed from home or anywhere with an internet connection. In our particular case, we have had more demands placed upon us by our clients to meet their ongoing demands causing us to be busier.
