Over 2000 Perthians attended the event, all expecting thought-provoking and inspiring speakers and performers, and they weren’t disappointed.
While the 14 speakers and performers were from and of very diverse and different backgrounds, cultures and experiences, they shared a very strong commonality in their ability to motivate, inspire and provoke the minds of over 2000 eagerly attentive audience members.
Spacecubed’s capacity at the event set out on a mission to share the ‘coworking love’. Joined by Immersia, a Startup part of the Vocus Upstart accelerator cohort of 2016, the Spacecubed stall showcased a VR Headset experience of a rollercoaster ride, a 360-video demonstration of the video work Immersia have completed at some of Perth’s largest events and package information about how Spacecubed can help startups move from ideas to action, acquire funding and establish their key business networks.
“It was great to be part of such an inspiring event. We share the same values as TEDxPerth and so it was a no brainer to sponsor the event along with some other great organisations, companies and institutions and the speakers were second to none,” Matt Kirk, Spacecubed’s Marketing Coordinator said.
Veri Vote and Blockchain
There was an entourage of Spacecubed members at the event, including another participant of the Vocus Upstart program, Adrian Peterson
who joined the 13 other speakers on stage to address 2000 Perthians for 12 minutes. Adrian is the CEO of Veri Vote, a Perth based startup pioneering a new way in how we vote politically using Blockchain technology.
“Bitcoin proved that Blockchain establishes trust and allows transactions without a third party,” Adrian said during his 12 minutes TEDxPerth talk. Voting therefore becomes secure and largely uncorruptable when digitised using Blockchain technology.
Captivating the audience at the sprightly age of just 23, Adrian Peterson’s Blockchain talk was a showcase of the talent we have part of our Spacecubed community.
