Our Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator program, running concurrently in Perth and Sydney, has officially come to an end as all three cohorts recently celebrated their achievements at their end of program pitch night.
Running over six weeks, this pre-accelerator business development program is designed for early-stage startups to take their business to the next level. Each week, participants are connected with mentors and advisors, taught foundational entrepreneurship skills, and given a toolkit to grow their skills as a founder.
The end of program pitch night is one of the highlights of the program, as it gives the startups an invaluable opportunity to showcase their businesses to a room full of like-minded founders, experienced mentors and community of supporters. Find out more about how each of these pitch nights unfolded below!
City of Canning
The City of Canning Pitch Night took place at FLUX, powered by Spacecubed, where over 60+ supporters gathered to watch the cohort pitch. Thanks to Lotterywest IdeaStater funding, there was $10,000 available for 3 winning pitches. In third place, winning $2,000 was Deco Magic, in second place winning $3,000 was Edible Cutlery, and taking out first place, winning $5,000, was Better Me Smoothies. Hosted at the Western Sydney Startup Hub on Tuesday August 1st, 10 founders from the local community were welcomed by over 80 attendees, ready to pitch their businesses.
