Spacecubed x DCC launch Australia-wide IP partnership for entrepreneurs

Spacecubed Partners with Davies Collison Cave to Bring Expert IP Support to Australian Founders

We're proud to announce our new partnership with Davies Collison Cave (DCC), one of Australia's leading intellectual property firms. Through this collaboration, DCC becomes Spacecubed's Exclusive IP Partner, bringing specialist IP support directly into the local startup and scaleup community.

Building something worth protecting takes time. Knowing how to protect it shouldn't require a law degree to figure out. Through this partnership, founders within the Spacecubed community and broader ecosystem will have access to structured, 1:1 IP consultation clinics with qualified IP attorneys, matched to their stage and delivered either in person at Spacecubed or online.

Sessions cover the full range of IP concerns relevant to early and growth-stage ventures: patents and inventions, trade marks and branding, copyright and digital assets, IP ownership gaps in founder and contractor agreements, fundraising readiness, and commercialisation strategy.

Whether you're preparing for investor due diligence, bringing a new product to market, or just trying to understand who owns what in your business, these clinics are designed to give you practical, strategic guidance in 30 minutes.

Meet your DCC specialists
Two of DCC's specialists will be embedded in the Spacecubed community throughout the partnership.

Andrew Mullane is an IP Disputes Attorney with more than 10 years' experience helping clients resolve intellectual property disputes across all technologies and industries. He conducts commercial negotiations and litigates disputes before the Federal Court of Australia and various Australian IP offices.

Cheryl Hrvoj is a Trade Mark Attorney with extensive experience across the full breadth of trade mark matters, helping business owners clear, register and enforce their brand names and product names in Australia and overseas. Cheryl is a prize-winning graduate of the University of Melbourne's Master of IP Law and currently serves as Co-Chair of the IPSANZ WA Committee.

Founders will be matched with the most relevant specialist based on their specific support area.

To launch the partnership, DCC will host an IP-focused Lunch & Learn session (stay tuned for more information, we’ll share the details soon!). This is a great entry point if you're not sure where to start or want to learn more before booking a clinic.

1:1 clinic sessions open for booking from 20 May. Sessions run in person at Spacecubed or online, and are curated and coordinated by the Spacecubed team. Click here to learn more and book your free session.
