As Spacecubed continues to expand and innovate, we're excited to announce some strategic changes to our leadership team, designed to increase our future impact and drive meaningful outcomes for our community.

Ophelie Cutier will be stepping into the role of Spacecubed Acting CEO from the 1st of July 2024. With 12 years in the organisation (Ophelie started at Spacecubed in 2012, as a Community Manager), Ophelie's extensive experience and commitment to our mission makes her perfectly placed for this position. Ophelie has spearheaded the growth of our spaces and programs, growing from 500 sqm in Perth, to over 6,500+ sqm of flexible space across Australia in 2024, with our programs investing $3.65 million into local startups and an additional $1.25m into ecosystem building activities that have empowered over 4,000 individuals.

“I am honoured and thrilled to take on the role of Acting CEO at Spacecubed. Our community has flourished, supported by our nationwide network of spaces, programs, and cutting-edge technology. Reflecting on our journey, I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved. I am confident that the next chapter will be even more remarkable, and I am eager to lead us forward, embracing new challenges and continuing to make a lasting impact.” Ophelie shared.

We are also excited to announce that Lauren Quinn will be moving into the role of General Manager. In this capacity, Lauren will focus on driving growth across our Spaces and Programs and supporting our member base of over 3,000 businesses Australia-wide.

Nate Sturcke has been appointed into a newly established role, Head of Impact, leading Meshpoints and creating the foundations to ensure a strong, resilient innovation ecosystem in WA. In addition, Nate will continue to develop the Innovative Society Index, measuring the long-term impact and telling the stories of the programs, people and companies within WA.

Additional team changes include Chris Tan as Operations Manager, Isabel Kasten as Marketing Lead and Isabelle Tadros as WSSH Sales & Operations, who will work alongside the broader Spacecubed team to deliver on our mission.

Brodie McCulloch will work on strategic opportunities for Spacecubed and CORE, both nationally and internationally, including the Innovation Index, Meshpoints and the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct.

These changes mark a significant milestone in Spacecubed’s journey, and we are incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of our entire team, board and support from our members and partners. We believe that these strategic moves will position us for even greater success, and we look forward to continuing to support changemakers, innovators and entrepreneurs together.
