Spacecubed is excited to announce its recent funding through the 2025–26 Australia–Korea Foundation (AKF) Grant to deliver our Korea–Australia Landing Pad Program, an expansion of Perth Landing Pad, designed to strengthen trade, innovation, and entrepreneurial connections between the two countries.

Building on the success of the Perth Landing Pad, which has supported over 100 international startups in Western Australia in the last three years, this new program will provide tailored support to 10 high-potential startups — five from Australia and five from Korea — over 12 months. Participants will gain access to market-entry support, cultural mentorship, investor engagement, and founder matchmaking to accelerate their expansion into new markets.

“This program will not only provide a soft landing for startups entering new markets but also foster long-term cultural and commercial ties between our two countries,” shared Lauren Hardy, General Manager of Spacecubed. “With the support of the Australia–Korea Foundation, we can create meaningful opportunities for founders and innovation ecosystems on both sides.”

Key program highlights include a delegation of five Korean founders for an immersive residency aligned with 2025 West Tech Fest, including mentoring, ecosystem tours, and participation in West Tech Fest Main. In early 2026, five West Australian founders will travel to Seoul for a reciprocal mission, engaging with local innovation hubs, investors, and partners to build strategic connections.

Amongst the travel, this program will include virtual workshops, founder matchmaking, and online mentoring sessions that will run alongside the in-person residencies, ensuring accessibility and sustained collaboration, and finish with a Virtual Showcase event for all 10 founders.

And the best part? This program is free (by successful application) to participants, thanks to the support of the Commonwealth through the Australia-Korea Foundation, which is part of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. For the international delegations, flights and accommodation for five founders in each location will also be subsidised.

Applications for the Korea–Australia Landing Pad Program are now open, and encouraging submissions from Korean and Australian founders alike to participate. We’re looking for market-ready companies in sectors like clean energy, agritech, healthtech, AI, and digital innovation. Teams with diverse backgrounds and global ambitions are encouraged to apply.
