In an exciting move to bolster Western Australia’s innovation ecosystem, Spacecubed has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Future Lestari, an Indonesian innovation and growth catalyst organisation dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and business growth. This partnership will enhance collaboration between startups, corporates, government agencies, and academic institutions across both regions, creating new opportunities for expansion and market access.

Through this MoU, Spacecubed and Future Lestari will work together to facilitate the exchange of expertise, resources, and networks. This collaboration will leverage both organisations’ vibrant innovation ecosystems to support technology-driven startups and scaleups looking to expand across Indonesia and Australia.

The Perth Landing Pad program will play a central role in supporting Indonesian startups entering the Western Australian market by providing coworking spaces, online resources, mentorship, strategic advisory, and business connections. At the same time, Future Lestari will explore pathways for Western Australian startups looking to enter the Indonesian market, providing access to market insights, funding opportunities, and key stakeholders.

Speaking on this new collaboration, Cynthia Krisanti, Director of Future Lestari, shares their mission and their enthusiasm for the MoU.

"At Future Lestari, our mission is to build meaningful pathways for sustainable innovation in a way that is collaborative, forward-looking, and rooted in impactful solutions. Partnering with Spacecubed helps us advance this mission beyond Southeast Asia, providing Indonesian startups with access to similar support, resources, and opportunities within Australia’s thriving ecosystem."

“We’re also excited to extend access to our network and help Australian founders navigate the Indonesian market, ensuring they have the insights and connections needed to succeed. By working together, we can support founders in overcoming real challenges—whether it's understanding new ecosystems, refining their solutions, or building the right partnerships for long-term growth,” Cynthia added.

Perth Landing Pad Lead, Harriet Bartlett also highlighted the impact of this agreement.

“We are excited to work alongside Future Lestari to create a dynamic and interconnected startup ecosystem between Indonesia and Australia. Through this MoU, we aim to drive innovation, foster cross-border collaboration, and open up new growth pathways for startups looking to scale in both regions.”

Perth Landing Pad is made possible thanks to the support of the City of Perth and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
