Momentum, milestones and big wins from Spacecubed’s Australia-wide community
As 2025 comes to a close, we’re celebrating the founders, innovators, leaders, and creators a part of Spacecubed. Across Australia, our community has achieved extraordinary milestones, launching new products, raising capital, forming partnerships, advocating for change, and representing WA and NSW on national and global stages.
Here are just some of the standout achievements from our community this year.
Plus Eight alumni achievements
Personr scales globally
2023 Accelerator alum, Personr has continued its rapid ascent as one of Australia’s most promising RegTech startups. Now verifying tens of thousands of identities each month across Australia, the UK and Cyprus, they raised a $750K seed round to continue expanding internationally, supported by growing regulatory demand and a strengthened product.
Coursebox secures $750K and global market traction
Fresh from the 2024 Plus Eight Accelerator, Coursebox now supports over 70,000 educators across 180+ countries, raised $750K from Purpose Ventures, expanded its team to 12, and launched new AI-driven features, having showcased the platform this year at SXSW in Austin.
Relait triples revenue and team
A part of this year’s Accelerator, Relait achieved extraordinary growth, increasing revenue from $150K to $420K, expanding its team from 3 to 8, securing $200K in additional investment, and cementing itself as a rising player in equity and shareholder management.
Edible Cutlery enters Yo-Chi stores nationally
In a milestone for sustainable consumer products, Edible Cutlery launched its chocolate edible spoons across Yo-Chi locations Australia-wide, proving demand for planet-friendly innovations at scale.
Tender Relief forms a major national partnership
Tender Relief's collaboration with Australian Tenders brought together two powerful platforms, creating a full end-to-end tender discovery and response solution for SMEs. A strong year of impact from one of WA’s fastest-growing B2B startups (find out more here!)
OT-Me launches, supporting families nationwide
Steph Clarke from Multi-Coached launched OT-Me, a digital platform supporting children and families through accessible Occupational Therapy tools, while also earning nominations for major innovation awards (read more here!)
Paperly accelerates global growth
2022 Plus Eight Accelerator alum, Paperly had a standout year, becoming the first investment of the newly launched Plus Eight Syndicate (learn more and join here), as well as raising a $3M funding round led by Tribe Global Ventures with participation from Purpose Ventures and Skalata. The edtech startup has achieved 4,600% ARR growth since its 2023 seed round, secured more than 250 contracted schools for 2026, and is now expanding into the UK and Asia while strengthening its presence across Australia. Co-founders Daniel Dawson and Jak Tidman have also been named finalists for the 2025 Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (read more here!)
Divergent Education sparks national conversation
Appearing on ABC’s Four Corners and 7:30 news, Western Sydney Pre-Accelerator alum Cheyanne Carter, Founder of Divergent Education exposed serious issues in Australia’s childcare system. Chey also called on Education Minister Jason Clare to change the law so no child under 3 years old can ever be left alone with just one educator for more than 15 minutes and started a petition that has gained traction with over 19,000 signatures.
Member successes across our spaces
180 Cadence announces Parramatta Half Marathon
Alex Treglown and David Bennie, Cofounders of 180 Cadence are bringing a world-class running experience to Western Sydney in June 2026 for the Parramatta Half Marathon, with 8,000 runners set to take over the streets of the City of Parramatta.
SavvyWise takes out Venture UWA, heading to West Tech Main
Spacecubed Founder Member Drew Pflaum and SavvyWise have had a standout year. After joining Spacecubed and meeting his co-founder at Morning Startup, Drew rapidly progressed the product, secured early revenue, and went on to win the Venture UWA Pitch Night. Now, the team is preparing to pitch on the Main Stage at West Tech Fest and is already engaging with interstate investors as momentum continues to build.
Leadership WA joins the community
This year we welcomed Leadership WA into Riff, where they successfully delivered their signature programs surrounded by fellow innovators, changemakers, and community leaders, and hosted one of our Breakfast Clubs.
Handle Branding celebrates 10 years
Congratulations to international award winning design agency, Handle Branding who recently celebrated their 10th anniversary. “We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead,” shared Cofounder, Michael Schepis.
Western Sydney Tech Innovators community grows to over 1,700 members
WSTI founded by Lailei Huang has evolved into the region’s largest AI community and marked its first anniversary this year with a celebration at the Western Sydney Startup Hub. They continue to grow, now having over 1,700 members on Meetup where you can find regular events and sessions taking place at WSSH.
From purpose-driven founders to high-growth SaaS companies, deep-tech innovators to social impact leaders, the achievements above reflect what’s possible when community, support and opportunity intersect.
Across Australia, we’ve seen founders raise capital, secure partnerships, launch products, hire teams, expand overseas, and spark systems change, often starting with a single desk, a mentor session, or a conversation in one of our spaces.
