We’ve just passed the Design phase
With over 120 attendees at the launch event, the programme has just passed the design phase where expert mentors presented to an overall attendee base of roughly 200 people, these masterclasses included:
- Masterclass #1 - Design thinking and lean startup with Investor and Director of the Founder Institute, Andrew Hall
- Masterclass #2 - Developing a business model with Venture Capitalist Matt MacFarlane
- Masterclass #3 - The Perfect Pitch with experienced startupper and Front End Web Developer Sam Mead
We’re now in the Build phase
We’re now in the Build phase, and it’s time to get hacking. Not really hacking, but Perth’s latest Hackathon aims to produce innovative solutions to the many challenges facing the health sector today. And don’t worry if you haven’t been able to attend any of our masterclasses so far, the hackathon is open to people from all backgrounds and industry sectors. It will include:
- 54 hour hackathon where ideas will be prototyped, tried and tested
- Pitch sessions
- Top ten ideas will be invited to HBF Head Office for private pitch session
- Solutions conceptualised on the HBF hackathon have the chance to apply for $30k funding in return for 6% share of equity with HBF - this is an awesome opportunity for small businesses in Perth
Accelerate
Below is a brief summary of what you should expect post hackathon stage - the Accelerate stage will commence almost immediately.
