Last week we saw the 18 startups who were part of our pre-accelerator program for the past eight weeks share with a full (virtual) house what they’ve been working on, and how they’re businesses have grown.
Facilitated by Skills of the Modern Age founder Nate Sturcke, the program provides founders and teams with the connections and support to turn their early-stage idea into a fully sustainable business.
Judged by WA’s startup champions and Plus Eight alumni, Dave Newman and Claire Orange and mentor Marlon Juenemann, the night was filled with exciting pitches, fun ways for the audience to get involved, and everyone had the chance to vote for their favourite startup to get a fast-tracked place in our Golden Ticket Pitch Night!
The judges' pick of the evening went to WeSpeakCyber, an everyday cybersecurity solution for small businesses, founded by Joshua Quek. And the fan favourite, chosen by over 100 individuals in the audience was ManezCo, an education platform for the students of today to determine the landscape of tomorrow, founded by Samreid Manez.
The full recording of the evening can be found here, and we hope you enjoy hearing from these up and coming startups as much as we did!
As mentioned earlier, our Golden Ticket Pitch Night is an opportunity for startups to pitch their way straight to the Plus Eight Accelerator program. It will be held in November, with 2 spots available from all over our Sprint Programs throughout the year. Next up is the Canning Sprint Pitch Night, so grab your tickets to see startups from the City of Canning pitch their ideas.
