Western Australia continues to attract global companies looking to establish a presence in one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems. Through Perth Landing Pad, supported by the City of Perth, international startups and scaleups gain access to local networks, industry partners and mentoring that help them explore, validate and grow their operations in Western Australia.
As the program continues to support global companies entering the WA market, we’re highlighting one of our participants, Detack Group. Led by CEO Costin Enache, Detack is a German cybersecurity company with more than 25 years of experience delivering high-end security auditing and specialised technical solutions to enterprises and critical infrastructure providers worldwide.
With established operations across Europe, the United States and Asia, Detack has built a reputation for deep technical expertise and engineering-led security solutions.
“We began our Australian journey with an office and team in Brisbane,” Costin shared. “But we soon realised that to properly support Western Australian businesses, we needed to be on the ground in Perth. The Perth Landing Pad was the perfect way to launch this second base and join the local community.”
Today, Detack’s Australian entity, Detack Pty Ltd, operates from Brisbane as its East Coast hub while building a growing presence in Perth to support WA’s specialised industries, particularly energy, mining and critical infrastructure.
The company is also introducing its patented Enterprise Password Analytics Solution (EPAS) to the Australian market. Designed to identify and eliminate credential-based vulnerabilities across enterprise networks, EPAS leverages high-performance computing and AI-powered analysis to help organisations strengthen their authentication security without disrupting operations.
Right now, the team is focused on building relationships across WA’s technology and services ecosystem.
“Our main priority is establishing strong partnerships with local Managed Service Providers and adapting our solutions to fit the needs of the WA market,” Costin explained. “Our goal is to make our global technology accessible and easy to adopt for businesses here.”
Through the Perth Landing Pad program, Detack has been able to immerse itself in the local ecosystem and gain valuable insights into how WA businesses operate.
“The program was a huge success for us. It helped us meet key people across the WA tech sector, understand what organisations look for in a security partner, and establish a professional foundation to build trust and credibility in a new city.”
For Detack, Perth plays an important strategic role in the company’s long-term expansion plans.
“Perth is now our hub for the West and beyond,” Costin said. “Because it shares a time zone with many Southeast Asian cities, this office allows us to support WA businesses locally while also strengthening our reach into Asia.”
One of the most important lessons for the team entering the WA market has been adapting their approach to match the local business culture.
“In Perth, we’ve found that face-to-face conversations and building genuine relationships really matter. We’ve taken our specialised technical background from Germany and combined it with the collaborative spirit we’ve experienced here in WA.”
Perth Landing Pad is a year-round program helping international startups and scaleups explore, enter and grow in WA. Participants receive tailored support including introductions to industry partners, strategic mentoring, access to coworking and community, and guidance navigating the local innovation ecosystem.
