Spacecubed announced as new operator for an innovation hub in Bentley Technology Park
This week, DevelopmentWA announced that Spacecubed has been appointed to manage and promote The Hub, a facility designed for Perth’s growing technology and science communities. The Hub, an innovation and coworking space within Bentley Technology Park, recently underwent a $7.5 million transformation into a net zero energy centre of excellence.
The facility offers Western Australian technology innovators, small to medium enterprises and the startup community access to coworking, conference, meeting, workshop and presentation spaces with state-of-the-art AV and digital communications, and is fast becoming the venue of choice for local innovation and technology events.
“I welcome the appointment of Spacecubed as the operator of The Hub innovation and coworking space at Bentley Technology Park, and I am confident the operator’s extensive experience in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship around Australia will significantly benefit its users.” Lands Minister, John Carey shared.
As the lead entity, Spacecubed will be responsible for operations, activation on site, and business development, while facilities and asset management will be sub-contracted to Burgess Rawson, enabling each partner to focus on their key strengths to better support tenants and users of The Hub.
One of the key features of The Hub, is a notable Global Streaming Centre that delivers a 360-sense experience so realistic, participants feel like they are in the same room as those on a video call. The technology allows participants to display documents all while seeing each other on the large curved LED screen and includes an audio-visual system to support presentations, lectures, training seminars and other events.
“Spacecubed is excited to be working with DevelopmentWA as the new operator for an innovation hub and coworking space at Bentley Technology Park.” Spacecubed’s Chief Operating Officer, Ophelie Cutier shared.
“The new state-of-the-art technology at The Hub will allow us to host events that bridge the gap between virtual and in person, creating a hybrid experience that can connect WA with experts all over the world.” She continued.
The Hub is part of DevelopmentWA’s broader strategy to foster industry engagement and attract businesses into the park, to underpin Western Australia’s ambition to support and nurture innovative science, technology enterprises and creative learning.
