Last week, Spacecubed and CORE Innovation Hub signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Forge Innovation & Ventures, bringing Western Australia’s innovation prowess to the global stage.

This MoU grants Spacecubed the opportunity to integrate Indian hardware tech startups from Forge's extensive portfolio into the Perth Landing Pad. Additionally, CORE Innovation Hub will engage in knowledge sharing and foster the development of an innovation ecosystem focused on decarbonisation, mining technology, automation, and robotics.

Forge Innovation & Ventures stands out as a leading incubator and accelerator in India, dedicated to establishing a nationwide hardware innovation network. This network is designed to nurture talent, technology, and ventures, driving significant advancements in various sectors.

Ranked among India's top innovation hubs, Forge promotes open innovation by facilitating collaboration between public and private sectors with startups. This approach has enabled over 100 hardware tech startups to thrive in fields such as climate resilience, clean energy, mining, defense, and healthcare. Forge also collaborates with prominent global industrial partners, including Airbus, Bosch, Siemens, Schneider, Saint Gobain, and Vedanta, as well as with government entities like the Ministry of Defence and the Government of Tamil Nadu.

"We are thrilled to join forces with Spacecubed and CORE Innovation Hub in this strategic alliance. This partnership aims to accelerate innovation within Western Australia’s core industries by leveraging cutting-edge technology and fostering sustainable economic growth through collaborations with our hardware startups," said Vish Sahasranamam, Co-Founder and CEO of Forge.

Aligned with the Western Australian Government’s DiversifyWA strategic framework, this MoU is poised to bolster investment and spur growth within the state's innovation ecosystem.

“Our goal is to establish a pipeline of high-growth companies into Western Australia via the Perth Landing Pad program, bringing fresh technology and innovation to the region. The MoU with Forge is pivotal in achieving this, while also opening pathways for WA businesses to tap into international markets,” said Charotta Kemp, Program Manager for the Perth Landing Pad.

The Perth Landing Pad program is made possible thanks to the support of the City of Perth and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
