Perth Web Girls Wraps Up a Busy West Tech Fest
With over 120 attendees in March, we now have 150 registered for the event at FLUX. Perth Web Girls (PWG) is looking better than ever before, with new sponsorships for the event from the Fenders meetup group, Icetana, Python Software Foundation and with BHP Billiton supplying mentors, we’re seeing a greater and increased demand for this valuable event.
“We’re delivering our second Perth Web Girls of the year as it’s our aim to increase the awareness, value and quality of women in the tech space and in entrepreneurship too,” said Event Organiser Kate Kirwin.
“Back in September, the event was planned to be held at Spacecubed, however we’ve been inundated by the support and expression of interest to be part of this much sought after event, it's now held at FLUX and this is testament to the value of what we’re doing with Perth Web Girls and shows that it’s something the Perth community want - I’m excited,” she continued.
With Women in Business very much on the agenda, Perth Web Girls is blurring the boundaries and doing so in an inclusive, engaging and fun way.
We’re excited to have over 150 registered attendees at FLUX today as our last event during West Tech Fest so stay tuned on our progress @space3ed on our social channels and keep an eye out for Perth Web Girls 2017.
