Spacecubed x KUMPUL renew MoU through Perth Landing Pad

Perth Landing Pad and KUMPUL Renew Partnership to Strengthen the Australia-Indonesia Innovation Bridge

Perth Landing Pad, delivered by Spacecubed in partnership with the City of Perth and the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with KUMPUL, one of Indonesia's leading entrepreneurship ecosystem enablers. The renewed agreement builds on an existing relationship between the two organisations and sets out a clearer, more active pathway for founders moving between Western Australia and Indonesia.

What the renewal covers
Under the renewed MoU, Perth Landing Pad and KUMPUL will continue to act as strategic partners across several areas: connecting startups, corporates, government bodies and academic institutions in each other's networks; running bilateral exchange programs, roundtables, events and publications; and offering Indonesian startups a hybrid support model through Perth Landing Pad, including coworking access, strategic advisory, mentorship and business connections in WA.

The agreement also confirms Perth Landing Pad as the anchoring partner for joint programs delivered in WA, with KUMPUL exploring a reciprocal Indonesian Market Access Program to support WA startups looking to enter the Indonesian market. Both organisations will support each other's community with guidance on long-term residency pathways where needed.

KUMPUL, founded in 2015, has built incubation, acceleration and community development programs across more than 40 cities in Indonesia, connecting entrepreneurs, industry, international institutions and government. Perth Landing Pad has supported over 100 international ventures to date, and this renewal extends that track record with one of Southeast Asia's most established startup ecosystem builders.

Why this partnership matters
For Indonesian founders, Perth Landing Pad becomes a genuine soft landing into the WA market: a base to work from, a network of local partners, and support navigating a new regulatory and business environment. For Perth-based founders eyeing Southeast Asia, KUMPUL offers the reverse, a connector into one of the region's fastest-growing entrepreneurial ecosystems, with local market knowledge and an established community already in place.

Ratnesh Bhardwaj, Perth Landing Pad Lead, said the renewal reflects the strength of the relationship built with KUMPUL over time.

"Indonesia is one of the most dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems in our region, and this renewal gives us a clear framework to connect founders on both sides as that opportunity grows."

The impact for founders
For founders in Perth, this partnership means direct access to KUMPUL's network across 40+ Indonesian cities, including introductions, market insight and support for those exploring expansion into the region.

For international founders, particularly those building in Indonesia, it means a clearer route into WA: coworking space through Perth Landing Pad, mentorship, business connections and a community that has already supported founders from Europe, the US and Asia establishing a WA presence.

KUMPUL's Connect for Change Summit
As a proud Global Partner, we're supporting KUMPUL Connect for Change Summit 2026, taking place on 20 October in Jakarta under the theme "Reimagine Impact." The summit will bring together more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, startups, investors, policymakers, corporates and ecosystem builders from Indonesia, Southeast Asia, Asia-Pacific and Europe, with discussions covering the tech and innovation enterprise landscape, inclusive value chains, community-led growth and cross-border partnerships. For founders looking to build connections across the region, particularly those exploring the Indonesian market, it's a chance to be in the room with the people shaping that conversation.
