Spacecubed signs MoU with Kong Kong Trade Development Council

New MoU with Hong Kong Trade Development Council Strengthens Innovation Ties Between Western Australia and Hong Kong

We’re proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), a statutory body with 51 offices globally dedicated to promoting Hong Kong as a two-way hub for international trade and investment. This new partnership marks a significant step in connecting Western Australia's innovation ecosystem with one of Asia's most dynamic business environments.

Through this MoU, Spacecubed and HKTDC will work together to foster cross-border collaboration, support technology-driven startups, and create new pathways for market access between Western Australia and Hong Kong. The partnership brings together two vibrant innovation ecosystems, with a shared commitment to promoting sustainable growth and connecting founders, corporates, government agencies, and academic institutions across both regions.

The Perth Landing Pad will serve as the anchoring partner for programs delivered in Western Australia, providing Hong Kong startups and scaleups with coworking spaces, strategic advisory, mentorship, access to business networks, and targeted support services to help them establish and grow in the Australian market. In Hong Kong, HKTDC's Entrepreneur Day will serve as a key platform to showcase participating startups from Western Australia, giving them visibility and access to one of Asia's most connected business communities.

Beyond the Landing Pad program, the partnership will facilitate a broader portfolio of bilateral exchange programs, roundtables, events, and publications, designed to create meaningful connections and open doors for startups on both sides. HKTDC will also support Western Australian startups in accessing new markets by connecting them with relevant business contacts through its global network of trade fairs and events, while sharing market insights to help inform growth and expansion strategies.

Together, Spacecubed and HKTDC will be working to build a long-term mechanism for innovation cooperation, one that creates tangible opportunities for founders looking to scale across borders.

The Perth Landing Pad is a year-round program run by Spacecubed and supported by the City of Perth and the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, designed to help international startups, scaleups, and SMEs expand into Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Partnerships like this one reflect our ongoing commitment to building international connections that create real opportunities for founders and businesses looking to grow globally.
