Meshpoints is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of seven local ecosystem builders from Perth, enabling them to participate in The Community Collective’s 8-week cohort-based program. This initiative will equip these leaders with the skills, confidence, and connections they need to build impactful communities within their own networks.

As part of Meshpoints’ mission to strengthen and support Western Australia’s innovation ecosystem, this sponsorship reflects our commitment to nurturing the next generation of community builders. Through this program, these seven leaders will gain invaluable insights, helping them foster stronger, more resilient communities in sectors ranging from education to creative tech.

The individuals supported by Meshpoints to join the program include:

The Community Collective is a global initiative founded in Australia, designed to empower individuals passionate about building strong, connected communities. This fully online, 8-week program equips participants with the tools and strategies needed to develop impactful communities and drive sector-specific change. The program covers a wide range of essential topics, such as designing business-aligned community strategies, measuring return on investment, and mastering public speaking and facilitation. Led by Jess Walker, former head of programs and community at Airtree Ventures, and Paz Pisarski, co-founder of The Community Collective, participants will gain structured approaches to community building, with weekly topics ranging from strategy design to operational efficiency.

Juliette Lucas, Programs and Community Coordinator at Spacecubed shared, "I'm thrilled to join The Community Collective and connect with 92 passionate builders from eight countries. I'm eager to gain insights that will shape our community's future and create a strong 6-month plan to not only strengthen our own network but also contribute to the broader innovation ecosystem in WA and beyond. The ripple effect of these learnings will extend beyond local borders, fostering collaboration and innovation across Australia."

Through this sponsorship, Meshpoints is making a strategic investment in the future of Western Australia’s innovation ecosystem. By supporting these seven leaders, we are not only enabling them to develop practical skills, but also facilitating the creation of new strategies tailored to advancing key sectors of our local ecosystem. Participants will return with a deeper understanding of how other ecosystems across Australia foster collaboration, resilience, and growth. They’ll also build new connections with leaders from outside WA, strengthening our ties to national and global ecosystems. This initiative ultimately serves to benefit the entire WA ecosystem by introducing fresh ideas, fostering innovation, and empowering local leaders to drive meaningful change.

Then, next month, the participants will share their experiences and insights at the 2024 WA Innovation Leaders Congress, offering a unique opportunity for the broader community to learn from their journey.
