Kristell Symons is the proud owner and creator of Professionally SHE, dedicated to equipping growing business owners with the tools, insights, and strategies needed to hire and build effective teams.
Kristell has 18 years of experience in compliance and regulatory environments and has led diverse teams for over a decade, specialising in key areas such as learning and development, staff capability and performance, recruitment, and employee onboarding.
As one of our newest members at the Western Sydney Startup Hub, we sat down with Kristell to discover what she is currently working on, and she shared the following.
“Currently, I am focusing on hands-on skill-building workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to help business owners navigate the complexities of recruitment, employee onboarding and staff retention.”
We asked Kristell what made her choose to work out of the space and she described her experience with the Western Sydney Startup Hub’s Sales and Operations Coordinator.
“Unlike other co-working spaces I had been approached by, Isabelle was not pushy and was incredibly knowledgeable, flexible and welcoming.”
“The office space in North Parramatta is gorgeous with a great vibe, and everyone there is so welcoming,” Kristell continued. The Western Sydney Startup Hub thrives as a coworking space with a strong sense of community and friendly members. “Special shout out to Michael and Judes!” Kristell added.
Kristell hopes that being a Spacecubed member will help her connect and meet with local startups and SMEs, sharing that she is passionate about learning the stories behind their names and brands.
“By sharing my knowledge on employment capability, I would love to support those looking to expand in areas of recruitment and employee onboarding while keeping the function in-house,” Kristell shared.
We asked Kristell if she has any goals that she would like to achieve in the next few years and she replied, “as long as I am healthy, happy, and feel that what I do professionally still has purpose, my goals will be fulfilled. I am more of a here and now and near-future goal setter.”
Professionally SHE has recently expanded its services to reach more industries.
“Having branched out to assist NDIS participants with employment capability, I am excited about the growth of my business and supporting job seekers in their transition into the workplace,” Kristell shared.
“I am excited to be able to share my knowledge with those who are expanding their teams, often for the first time. By helping them to confidently take control of their hiring and onboarding processes without the need for third-party agencies,” concluded Kristell.
