We’re excited to introduce Radika, who joined Spacecubed last month as a Programs & Community Coordinator, and is now leading both the Perth Landing Pad and the Korea–Australia Landing Pad programs.
From Germany to Korea to Perth
Radika grew up in Germany, in a family with a strong entrepreneurial streak. That upbringing shaped an early curiosity about how businesses are built. What drew her in was the ecosystem around founders: the accelerators, the mentors, the programs designed to help early-stage companies find their footing.
She pursued that interest through both of her degrees, studying Startup Management and Entrepreneurship, before moving into the accelerator world. For three years, she worked at a startup accelerator in Germany that partnered with three universities to run an annual pitch competition for student-led ventures.
"I love the energy that comes with working alongside passionate founders," Radika shares. "Seeing the direct impact of your work makes a real difference."
Alongside that professional drive, Radika had always been drawn to international experience. A semester abroad in Korea during her bachelor's studies had left a strong impression, and after her time in Germany's accelerator world, she decided to move to Seoul. She spent her time there immersing herself in Korean culture and trying to carve out a path in its startup ecosystem.
The move to Australia was, in part, pragmatic. English as the official language removed a significant barrier. But the decision to settle in Perth, rather than Sydney or Melbourne, was a deliberate one.
"Perth's startup ecosystem is closely connected in a way that makes it genuinely easy to meet people and build relationships quickly," she explains. "In a larger city, it can take months to find your footing. Here, I felt embedded in the community almost immediately, and that's what led me to this role."
There is also something she values about the scale of impact that is possible in Perth. In more saturated ecosystems, programs and initiatives can get lost in the noise. In WA, there is still real room to shape what gets built.
Radika steps into the role at a busy time for Perth Landing Pad. The program is open for applications year-round, and a key part of her focus over the coming months will be connecting with international founders and businesses who are considering Australia as their next market. That means building relationships with global hubs, continuing to grow the program’s network of international MOUs with partner organisations, and ensuring that founders who apply receive meaningful, tailored support from day one.
All of that work builds toward the annual Perth Landing Pad Showcase, taking place on Tuesday 28 July. Open to the public, the Showcase brings together the current cohort of international founders to present their progress, celebrate the program’s impact, and connect with Perth’s wider innovation community.
Before the Showcase, Radika will be heading to Seoul. From 15 to 19 June, she will lead the Spacecubed delegation to NextRise, one of Korea’s premier global startup conferences, as part of the Korea–Australia Landing Pad program. The trip is an opportunity to meet Korean founders, deepen relationships with Seoul’s innovation hubs, and identify high-potential businesses who could benefit from an Australian market entry pathway. It reflects the broader ambition of the program: to position Perth not just as a destination, but as an active participant in the global startup ecosystem.
“I’m excited to bring my international experience and perspective into this role,” Radika says. “I’ve been on the other side of what our participants are going through: arriving somewhere new, trying to understand the ecosystem, figuring out where you fit. I think that gives me a genuine appreciation for what founders actually need, and I’m looking forward to the months ahead.”
