Paramount Prestart is a work health and safety app/web portal designed for residential builders and their trade personnel to scan on-site and complete safety documents. We asked Adam about his business journey and how he plans to revolutionise safety in construction.
Adam worked as a bricklayer in the construction industry for a decade, witnessing multiple unsafe practices and near misses which made him think about the standard of the work health and safety regulations.
“Some days I would come home and show pictures to my partner of the crazy unsafe things I had to do that day.” He admitted.
Realising that little safety documentation is enforced or even supplied by builders to their tradies in the residential industry, Adam started to explore solutions and found a very small market.
“I decided to create a super simple Health and Safety App that every tradie will want and be able to use, and that's how Paramount Prestart was born.”
Paramount Prestart has been granted the opportunity to be a part of Phase One of the Plus Eight Accelerator program, which will help their business grow on a global scale. We asked Adam what he was looking forward to about the program, and he shared the following.
“Learning what it takes to create a scalable business and making new connections with like-minded people in the startup space.” He shared.
Paramount Prestart’s mission is to revolutionise the building industry, with the belief that everyone deserves to come home safe to their family and loved ones after work.
Adam claims his offerings differ from what’s currently on the market, telling us “We want to be more than just an app, but a brand that the whole industry can resonate with and be proud to support.”
The simplicity of the App allows anyone to easily be proactive and accountable for their safety on site and the platform is designed to be affordable for every builder, no matter their size. This accessibility hopes to help the construction industry achieve a culture of safety, and could ultimately save lives and prevent many serious injuries from happening.
