Applications are now open for Plus Eight Sprint, our six-week pre-accelerator program designed for startups to take their ideas to the next level. Applications close September 15.
If you're a founder with a startup idea, the Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator program is the perfect opportunity to take your business to the next level. Powered by Spacecubed, this 6-week program in Perth offers a unique chance to connect with a community of successful mentors, investors, and advisors.
Designed to stimulate growth in local startups, the program equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to solve the growing skills shortage. With weekly mentoring sessions and access to Spacecubed's resources, founders can develop their businesses and network with like-minded individuals.
This program will be facilitated by our new pre-accelerator, Entrepreneur in Residence, Jeremy Chetty, Co-Founder and Chief Evangelist of Student Edge. Student Edge is a free student membership community, which Jeremy founded with friends while attending university. Today, they have over 1.3 million members, 100+ education institutions and a growing list of sponsors who have joined the Student Edge community.
Following the six-week program, participants will have the chance to present their ideas to potential investors and supporters at our end-of-program Pitch Event. It's a great opportunity to showcase what they have learned and propel them into future growth. Just ask the program alumni, Carem and Ale from Better Me Smoothies, who praised the program for teaching them how to create a pitch and building their confidence to present in front of an audience. And, Melissa from Digital Scrapbooking HQ who also experienced transformative growth and valuable insights from the program.
Melissa told us that she wanted to participate in the pre-accelerator program to help formulate a plan to reach the Millennial and Gen Z audience, offering more value to a broader market and increasing sales.
“I found that our facilitator and the fellow business owners were a great source of ideas, challenges and connection. It was rewarding to work alongside others building their businesses.” She shared when asked about her experience within the program.
The Pre-Accelerator has been an invaluable experience for startups, with participants sharing their aspirations to be a part of the six-month accelerator program in the future.
