Tell us a little about the JuniorDev Organisation.
We’re a community of coders here to make the junior dev life easier, combining a global community with local events.
Our local chapter’s content is generally geared towards junior developers in the 0-3 year range of their careers or casual coders. At our monthly Meetup event you’ll find a great platform for mentorship, sharing of ideas and engaging with code in a fun and friendly environment.
Starting out of Melbourne in 2016, we’ve gone international with meetups also hosted out of Singapore, New Zealand and Perth. You can reach out to our global community through the site juniordev.io and our slack community.
There you’ll find the latest news, articles, tutorials, and events in the junior developer space.
What makes a JuniorDev?
Our local chapter’s content is generally geared towards junior developers in the 0-3 year range of their careers or casual coders . At our monthly Meetup event you’ll find a great platform for mentorship, sharing of ideas and engaging with code in a fun and friendly environment.
What can attendees expect on the night?
BYO code night is one of our hands-on events in the yearly calendar. At JuniorDev we really want our members to have the opportunity to be proactively engaged. On the night we’ll be splitting into groups or working independently to take on a cool coding challenge direct from HackerRank, as-well as having people bring their own projects, code and challenges to the floor and get mentorship they might need to proceed or even get unblocked!
It’s a great opportunity for coders to mix with their community and get some hands-on mentorship with some of their coding challenges.
It’s going to be a fun night and we’ll make sure to keep you fed. So just bring yourself and a laptop!
How can I connect with the JuniorDev community?
We run a monthly Meetup so be sure to checkout our page or connect with us at Twitter for the latest and we’ll see you on Monday!
