Thanks to the continued support of the City of Canning, the Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator program is back for it’s fourth instalment in the local area! This program is designed to propel 10 local Canning founders through an exciting six-week transformative journey, led by the facilitated support of Jasmin Ward, and leading industry mentors.
Throughout the program, these aspiring startups will immerse themselves in a dynamic ecosystem, learning the foundational skills of being a successful business owner. They’ll be guided by invaluable insights and expertise, they will acquire the essential knowledge and skills to nurture their growth as founders and propel their ventures forward.

Topo DC Power
Topo DC Power is an R&D, design, manufacturing, supply, distribution and electronics company. Topo DC Power products are Australian-made, purpose-built and portable dual battery systems, currently servicing the Australian automotive, camping, and caravan market.
Cleo Quy
Cleo Quy is an exclusive fashion brand specifically focussed on catering to curvy women. Through collaboration with overseas fashion designers in Indonesia and Vietnam, the business is able to ship and sell clothing in Australia.
Daisy Skin
Daisy Skin offers skin therapy treatments and Cosmetic Tattoo services to help restore and enhance a person's natural features. Whilst Daisy Skin is primarily based in Perth, they have recently expanded into regional West Australia.
Gaia Fine Jewels
Gaia Fine Jewels offers a range of jewellery, intended to be keepsakes. Looking forward, Gaia Fine Jewels wants to expand their business offering, to become a platform for jewellery-makers. Through this platform they want to teach and support other creatives, helping them transition from primary jewellery-makers into a confident seller, ready to take their products to market.
Deco Magic
Deco Magic produces a 100% edible metallic gel in order to save double handling when dealing with metallic colours in the baking and confectionery industry. With 8 products in their portfolio, this enables approximately 50 techniques that no longer require double handling. Through creation of these products, Deco Magic has invented a compostable and biodegradable metallic aluminium foil to be used on confectionary like Easter eggs and other chocolates.
Pennyflow
Pennyflow exists to help create peace of mind for all business owners, assisting them with their account set up, step by step, as well as by training them on how to use particular systems.
Edible Cutlery
Edible Cutlery is an innovative business that provides healthy, delicious, and eco-friendly alternatives to traditional single-use cutlery. Their products are made from all-natural ingredients and are edible, reducing environmental impact while promoting a sustainable and nutritious lifestyle.
Keeyco
Keeyco is a platform, revolutionising the real-estate industry by managing the buying, selling and investing process for people who are new, beginners or experienced property owners and investors. They do this by providing a service platform, housing a team that’s experienced in all areas of the real-estate process to provide advice, services, tools and analytical insights.
Better Me Smoothies
Better Me Smoothies provides healthy, nutritious, ready to blend, frozen, green-smoothie packs, from fresh, locally sourced produce. Their packs are ordered online through their website and delivered to the customer’s door within 1-3 business days. Created via a commercial kitchen in the City of Canning, Better Me Smoothies uses only fresh and locally sourced produce before they vacuum seal, freeze and deliver.
Angel Tears
Angel Tears is a small clothing business, specialising in streetwear for youths. Their aim is to spread awareness for the growing mental health crisis plaguing youths, by partnering with Mission Australia.
