1. How did your startup/business journey begin?

I commenced working with EMM Consulting in 2014 while living in Sydney, enjoying the year-round surf but missing the WA trade winds. In 2016 my wife and I moved home to Perth to start our family. I was fortunate to have an opportunity to extend the EMM footprint by creating a presence here in WA. The FLUX space is a great fit for us providing the flexibility to grow and opportunities to collaborate with local businesses.

2. What are you working on at the moment?

The WA team are currently working with Regis Resources, RioTinto and Minjar Gold to solve water related issues on their remote mine sites.  We also support our eastern state operations on significant projects like Snowy Hydro 2.0 and the Burrawang to Avon Tunnel (BAT) project.

3. What do you love about being a part of the Spacecubed community?

I love hearing about new businesses and how they offer a point of difference for their clients. I love the optimism around the space and, I am perhaps little too reliant on, the filter coffee…

4. Can you share with us one of your favourite success stories?

This year our Perth operations has grown from one to three and we are actively searching for new recruits.  Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are an environmental scientist looking to make a difference within the mining sector.

5. What do you hope to achieve in 2019/2020?

We hope to grow to an office of 10-15 people, providing environmental assessment and approvals, planning and specialist environmental services to complement our existing water service offering.
