Following a whirlwind of growth over the last 6 months, the cohort enjoyed a trip to the US with meetings, networking and coaching, and have not slowed down since. In preparation for their launch into life after Plus Eight, the teams have been working hard “hustling, pivoting, and scaling their businesses” says Kate Kirwin, Spacecubed’s Programs Coordinator.

Over the course of the program teams have seen significant wins for their businesses with every team experiencing growth. Rob and Ryan, founders of Cordially, a rental inspection tool, tell us how the program has helped them shift gears and change their mindset around business and product development. “The good news is that we've made really good traction since changing our mindset and we're set for our first user walkthrough next week, as well as gaining introductions to other potential customers as a result!” Rob shares.

“We’re excited to have signed one of the largest property management agencies to our pilot program as well as an award winning boutique agency among others,” Ryan continues. “This program has taught us many things, most importantly a focus on market validation for your idea is crucial to gaining traction.”

The team from Ari Save have been all hands on deck since returning from San Francisco earlier in the year. “The start-up life is a tricky one, as it’s an ongoing battle to get things done, while at the same time discovering the 10,000 other things you should be doing.” co-founder Michael shares.

Over the past few months, Ari Save have rebuilt their branding, website and social media accounts, finally landing on a website design and branding message that our customers absolutely loved, as well as refined their app to become prepared for closed BETA testing launch.

“I think to sum up one of the biggest things we’ve learnt during the program so far is that the customer has to be at the centre of everything that we do and every decision that we make. We are loving what we’re doing, and cannot wait to release Ari Save out into the world and start helping people save!”

A big thank you to our program partners muru-D, Vukelic Group, Hawaiian and Seven West. If you’d like to join as a program partner or mentor for next years program, get in contact with us. We’re looking forward to seeing what these teams pitch at Demo Night on the 18th September. Keen to be a part of the action? Plus Eight Demo Night will be livestreaming to our Facebook page here from 7pm on Wednesday 18th September.
