# AI Demo Night 2026: Bringing AI Ideas to Life

By Ciaran Overend 2 October 2026

In September, we brought together the AI Founder Sprint and AI Fellowship cohorts at Riff for a night of pitches, product showcases, and plenty of exciting conversation with the founders about what’s next.

Over the past few months, we’ve watched these founders take ideas from early concepts into products, businesses and ventures with real momentum behind them. Demo Night was a chance to bring that journey together in one room.

Building with AI

The AI Founder Sprint, delivered over six weeks in partnership with Superteam Australia and Solana, gave founders the opportunity to explore AI-native ideas, build their products and develop their thinking through sessions covering everything from AI foundations and product discovery to go-to-market and fundraising.

Alongside them, founders from the AI Fellowship, supported by Scale Partners, took part in a longer three-month program focused on building and progressing AI-powered ventures.

Both programs connected our founders with mentors and industry experts such as Aidan Morgan, Lee Goldsworthy, and Samreid Manez. This guidance and connection has helped the founders turn ideas to action.

We've seen plenty of that momentum throughout the programs. Stacey from Hummingbird secured an opportunity to pitch at the China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition, Anthony from Servly travelled to San Francisco for pitching opportunities, and Joel from Aecon continued shipping at an incredible pace, reaching 15,000 tools listed on x402 Bazaar.

Beyond individual wins, the cohort built a genuinely strong founder community leaving the program with new opportunities, stronger networks, products progressed and an ongoing space to keep building together.

Taking the stage at Demo Night

The night kicked off with networking before the founders took to the stage for a series of one-minute pitches.

In just 60 seconds, each founder had to explain what they had built, the problem they were solving and what was coming next. It was a fast-paced introduction to the range of ideas coming out of both programs.

From Aecon, exploring the emerging agentic economy, to Servly, an AI-powered operating system designed to handle operational work for growing trade businesses, the pitches showcased very different applications of AI to real-world problems.

Pitches to product demos

After the pitches, the room shifted into showcase mode.

Each founder had their own booth, giving attendees the chance to move around the room, see the products in action, ask questions and speak directly with the people behind them.

That hands-on element brought a different energy to the evening. Instead of simply hearing about the ideas from the stage, attendees could get closer to the products and understand how they could work in the real world.

MadeApt is building a platform connecting custom fashion design with tailors, while Neurospheric is working across neurological care and technology.

The audience gets a say

The showcase gave the audience a chance to decide which ideas they wanted to hear more about.

After hearing the initial pitches and getting to meet the founders at their booths, attendees voted for their Top 5, who were then invited back to the stage for a second round of three-minute pitches.

The selected founders were:

- Joel Chan with Aecon
- Anthony Messina with Servly
- Nina Karisik with MadeApt
- Roshan De Silva with Neurospheric
- Bill Chuang with SmolMeals

The second round gave each founder more time to tell their story alongside a presentation. One moment that stood out was hearing Bill explain the everyday problem behind SmolMeals, sharing that parents spend “on average 5 hours a week just deciding what to cook for their kids”. He’s building SmolMeals as a way to tackle that decision fatigue and make meal planning easier.

A look at what’s next

For us, Demo Night was a great chance to see the progress these founders have made, but it also felt like the beginning of the next part of their journey.

These ideas are now growing and we're excited to see what happens, and how these founders continue to scale their ideas to new heights beyond the program.

A huge thank you to Superteam Australia and Solana for bringing the AI Founder Sprint to life, and to Scale Partners for supporting the AI Fellowship.
