A self-confessed ‘Facebook Ads nerd,’ Paul Ramondo is CEO of boutique creative studio RamondoMedia. He’s a marketer to his core, having clocked up over a decade of experience in the digital space. Paul’s magic touch is for getting the right message to the right people at the right time. Since joining Spacecubed earlier this year, he feels he’s put himself right where he needs to be.
After moving through digital roles, Paul quit his safe full-time job in September 2015 to seek bigger things. He launched RamondoMedia from his bedroom with one simple mission: to help businesses get solid results and ROI from their digital marketing.
With an initial investment of $1,000, he bootstrapped his business to 6 figure sales within 9 months. It took weeks of long hours and pure grit, but it got the ball rolling. He cracked the Facebook Ads code, and in one campaign generated over $250k of sales in just 32 days.
Paul’s talent to teach has him regularly running workshops with the industry-leading Social Media Examiner. It also inspired him to launch funnels101.com; an e-learning side-business. In five steps, he teaches entrepreneurs how to utilise marketing funnels and Facebook Ads to generate valuable leads and sales. This high-impact approach has also led him to be approached regularly for speaking engagements across the world.
Having seen phenomenal growth in his company after the first 18 months he decided to scale up his business, move out of the home office, and start to explore options. Having tried a few other solutions, Ramondo Media has found it’s home at FLUX.
“FLUX is pretty epic. The building itself and the fit-out is high-end. It creates a really nice vibe.” Citing the internet speeds, the friendly team and the ambience, the Spacecubed community ended up being the best bang for Paul’s buck, and cost less than half his previous office.
This frees him up to focus on his calling: improving ROI on social media marketing for businesses. His client list includes major brands like Porsche and Red Bull. Demand has him delivering digital marketing keynotes across the APAC region and beyond. Highlights have included headlining a conference in Las Vegas, giving a keynote at the NECA Australia conference in Indonesia, and MC-ing at CeBIT, Australia’s biggest tech conference.
Despite the social nature of vlogging, creating RamondoMedia’s signature high-quality content can be isolating. So joining a coworking space brought an unexpected social benefit. “It’s great to be in a place where everyone’s working towards similar goals. It creates this connection, sharing space with people. I look forward to coming into the office as it’s so comfortable. You can really focus on working at your business.”
You can catch Paul in action giving a speech on vlogging for business and crushing it on Facebook at Get Amplified on Tuesday 30th October. For more on his tips and tricks to growing your online sales, he blogs at paulramondo.com.
